The 055XPROB makes the popular Manfrotto-patented horizontal middle column element even less complicated to use. By extending the column to its greatest vertical place, it can be swung about to horizontal with out removing the head or disassembling the column itself, so switching between framing and positioning setups is more practical than at any time. The ergonomics of the leg angle release mechanism and the rapid motion leg locks on their own have also been tremendously enhanced.
